Law firms were crushed by bureaucracy and outdated software that slowed down every activity.
Together with my team I created LegalDesk, the first cloud management system for lawyers capable of integrating the Italian Electronic Civil Process.
I built a complete system: REST APIs in ASP.NET, SQL Azure database, WPF desktop app with MVVM and web and mobile interfaces in Blazor.
Result: cases, accounting, calendar, email and clients in a single advanced CRM.
Since 2011 LegalDesk has been Italy's #1 management system for customer support.
LegalDesk has been on the market for over 15 years.
I sold the company in 2022 to Seac SPA, a company with over 40 million in revenue based in Trento, to focus on consulting and training projects.
The ultra-fast video surveillance system with computer vision
In the early 2000s video surveillance was expensive, imprecise and full of false alarms.
With iHawk I developed a computer vision system capable of monitoring complex areas with webcams, HD cameras and thermal cameras.
I implemented algorithms in Assembly, C++ and C# to filter false positives and negatives, with a visual designer to configure the rules.
Result: continuous monitoring, fewer errors and a drastic reduction in surveillance costs.
Advanced reporting for a large construction management system (Il Sole24Ore)
STR Vision, Il Sole24Ore's construction management system, had become rigid and difficult to maintain.
I revolutionized its architecture by introducing dependency injection, which was unknown to the project at the time.
This made the software more extensible, with fewer regressions and faster releases.
Result: streamlined roadmaps and standardized quality, with a direct impact on Il Sole24Ore's ability to serve the real estate sector.
FDA-certified traceability for over 4,000 operators in a pharmaceutical laboratory (GlaxoSmithKline)
In pharmaceutical research laboratories every measurement must be tracked, validated and FDA-certified.
With EMT I built a distributed system that records data from all the scales used by scientists.
I developed the project in WPF and WCF, deploying it across multiple validation environments.
